    Hi

    Could any tell me if both radiator fans should start up when i press the air con switch inside the car?
    The car is a 2000 golf gti 2.0.

    When I turn my A/C on both fans start.

    Mine is a 1999 golf gti 1.8t with climate control

    Both mine run too and I have Climate Control. If only one runs then sounds like you need a new fan.

    I have had a problem with the ac fan, one failed to work when the car started up with ac. Now it has been replaced the ac works much better than before especially when at slow speeds, and is much colder. Mine was over 100 pounds from vw however. I think the big one was the one that stopped working on mine
