Metal Gear Solid 4

No doubt this will become a more active thread over the next few weeks as MGS4 is released tomorrow (12/06/08)

My brother bought a 2nd hand PS3 yesterday. It came with MGS4 amongst other things (GTA IV and 2x SIXAXIS controllers).

The MGS4 game/demo came in a GAME (the video games retailer) branded envelope with the MGS4 emblem on the front and on the top it says "Thank you for pre-ordering...". It also clearly states Available 12th June.

Inside is a game case (still sealed) and also other stuff such as advert for MGS4 stratefy guide and a uncrdited gift card.

My question/query... is the disc I have got a Game or a Demo?

Now you could say just open the seal and try the disc. I don't want to break the seal as I'm hoping if it's the full game (somehow before release date) I would like to return it to GAME for a full face value xchange for another game.

The front cover on the case looks different to MGS4 covers advertised online. It's black with a pic of Snake's upper body in Black n White. Nothing to suggest it is full game or demo.

Edit: On the side/spine of the case it reads "Metal Gear Saga Vol 2" and also has the DVD Video symbol. Could it be just a Demo Video... not even a playable Demo?

Having just edited the above post I realised the DVD case was bigger than the normal PS3 games case. It also didn't have the PS3 symbol along the side.

That's when I realised it was just the promotional DVD. Got excited about nothing. It's in the bin now.

That GTAIV is quite boring... and slow in fact. Can't beat people up as quick as in the last one, maybe that's why it's more realistic.

Will have to keep an eye out for COD4 or other FPS games

Stick with GTA4 - it took me a while to get into it, I couldn't get immersed in it like I could with the other ones. It does get very addictive once you get used to it.

Still heavily playing Ghost Recon 2 and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.

Oh and a bit of Bowling.
