My MPG?

I know its probably been done many times before but i have just worked out the my ( 130bhp 1.9 tdi Quattro Avant ) done 38mpg or 330 miles for £50 with a split of motorway (80 ish) and town driving and wanted to know if this was about right for my model?thanks for any input.

I think there are a few variances, i was getting about 34-36mpg taking it easy, just fit a new Air Mass Meter and this has improved things slightly now getting about 40mpg. i know the car is due for a service shortly so am hoping that things will improve further after that... ok mine has done 127k miles on a 1.9 tdi (130), but i think it should still return better than that. our kid has a B5 model with 215k on the clock and regularly gets 50+ out of it. I have read somewhere that there was a software upgrade (re-map) on certain B6 models due to poor fuel consumption, but am still trying to locate which year etc this relates to.
