03 Plate TDI 130 Passat Cambelt Change?

All, I am soon to part ex my beloved 2.2 Vectra, tried to sell privately btu gave up! anyhow, I am picking up a 03 plate Sport TDi 130, 6 speed number, I got lucky! however, the car has covered 71k and I'm sure the cambelt needed changing at 70k? can someone please confirm! I don't recall seeing it in the history that it had been done......otherwise can you confirm roughly how much it costs to change? I reckon about £150?

It's a far superior car,well done!Make a point of going to the dealer and check the service book and the owners manual ,it will have the details you need in it,if it does require changing,see if the dealer will do it before purchase (he should , and at his cost)It will be more than £150 though,that will just buy the parts.Go to the dealer and drive a hard bargain!It's better for him to change it now than wait for it to break which will ultimately cost him much more,and spoil his customer relations,I hope to have given you some food for thought,cheers Calum.
