2002 Passat 2.0S Estate - which engine.

Newbie advice - have just bought an October 2002 registered Passat 2.0S Estate. From reading internet I understand that in March 2002 the engine was changed from a 115HP older 8 valve unit to a 130 20V unit which is much better.
How can you tell which model you have - are there any easy pointers.
Any help appreciated.

In the spare wheel well there is a sticker which will tell you the engine code and power output in KW's,it's also in the owners manul.It's very obvious just looking at the engine as the cylinder head on the 20 valve is twice as wide as the older 8 valve,hope this helps,Calum
