Navigating Erwin

Has anyone taken the plunge and bought info from Erwin ?

Ross Tech point anyone there when looking for coding etc. but personally I find the menus useless to identify what is contained within and with the associated costs don't want to waste money.

Any tips on useful stuff appreciated as particular associated with engine coding.

If you are looking for coding info try the following:

These two sites have the most common coding info needed.
If there is anything else you need then posting on here is probably the best way of finding out without going into erWin. I have dabbled with it online and did find it took a while to get used to it! elsaWin and ETOS are quite good but very expensive to buy from VAG. Copies can be found on eBay but these are only for backup purposes if you have the full license from VAG!!

I've used Erwin before.

It can be confusing and expensive.

My advice would be only to download those modules that you really need, i.e engine.

Also if you do take the plunge, make sure you print out a hard copy of the pdf as they have an expiry date after which you cannot access them unless you pay again.

Personally, I'd have a really really good look on ebay for VW manuals
