    Default engine failure – 05-06-2008,05:43 PM
    Hi everyone hope someone can help. I just experienced a head gasket failure after just having massive oil sludge failure 1 month prior.I am a 23 year recently disabled dealer gm and ford service and parts mgr. when i pcked vehicle up afte repair drove 23 miles and had coolant drip at coolant flange which i replaced .Now engine overheated after 1200 miles dealer says w/pump impeller disintigrated and head gasket possibly head failed and is not covered under orig engine sludge failure.Which i told serv writer when motor orig. failed temp gage pegged and no oil pressure.If anyone has had similar experience please let me know.Thanks in advavance steve

    Water pump failure is a very common problem.
