Just wondering what sort of MPG other owners are getting with there Polo 1.4 Tdi 2002 onwards.
I've been getting 61Mpg/average over the last 3800 miles which is a slight reduction compared to what i was getting last year.
80% motorway ,20% around town.Normally sit at 55-65mph when on motorway.

ive got a 1.4tdi polo and can get about late 60mpgs out of it if i drive like a granny, but if you drive it fairly rapidly you should get about 45mpg on a run with your foot to the floor.
ive had the car from new and it was rubbish on fuel to start with but tdi's take about 20k to run in(i know this from my VW training back in the days)
the polo has now done 150k miles on a 53 plate and not had any major issues with it until now where it gets warm and splutters between 2.5-3.5k rpm. no idea why, ive asked my old vw chums to have a look at it but are baffled....if anyone has an idea please let me know.
