    Does anybody know how to get hold of just the clear indicator lens on the wing mirror,been told i have to buy the whole wing mirror!---£200 +
    Any suggestions would be most welcome.

    Hi "passatt".

    You can replace it yourself.

    I know about the 9n3, but the 9n ( and older models) were a bit different.

    First you need to get the top cover off.

    There is a plastic tab that fits into the lower half (part of the lens).

    You can try the pull the front lower part of the top cover away and then lift the entire top cover straight up. It should come away, but really you should release the tab by sliding a thin blade into the small slot between the top cover and the lower half (part of the lens).

    You need a TORX driver bit, (T10 I think).

    Move the wiring out of the way to see the inner one.
    The two torx screws release the lower half.

    The part number is:
    W1Z0 949 101 C TR04F1 TURNSIGNAL (this is the left-hand side)
    W1Z0 949 102 C (for the right-hand side)

    £17.98 inc vat from VW Citygate last week.
