Hi, I am now the proud owner of my first Golf (see attachment). This is my 1st years insurance so I decided to go for the 1.4s. It came with the Audi TT style 18" alloys (225/40ZR18 92W) which I am getting refurbished in the next few weeks and as you can see it hasn't been lowered. It is a 53 plate.

So after the wheel refurb I want to lower the suspension. Not all the way to the deck, just enough to make it look the part. 30 mm sounds fine to me as I just want to give it that gti look. So I was wandering if anyone had fitted these eibachs before........? http://www.v-werks.com/p1333598.htm

I am by no means a mechanic and have been quoted £80 by the local garage to fit them.

    Main worries are obvious....

Will I still be able to have full lock with a 30 mm drop?
How much stiffer will the suspension feel?
Can anyone get them any cheaper?
    Can anyone recommend anything else?

All Comments Are More Than Welcome.

So I found these on the ebay and reckon they will have much better ride quality.

Really didn't want to get through flea-bay but I'm pretty sure ******** are a decent enough make.

A 30mm drop from standard with those wheels will be fine. £80 to do the work is pretty fair.
