Try Bailey Motorsport or Forge Motorsport websites. They both do a shiny piston recirculating valve(quiet) that will replace the plastic Bosch jobbie. Noisy dump valves(venting type ones) dont work so well with the 1.8T engine ECU as its verry fussy and complicated and may trigger faults, thus causing limp mode ! There are companies out there that have working venting dump valves that use the accelerator/clutch switch as a trigger and are electronically controlled- supposeddly working for TDI engines as well but dont wonder if your car goes into limp mode or emission lights comme on the screen. Do your research and go for a reputable company/vendor !

Agreed - bailey and forge do decent ones. Venting ones sound better but recirc ones are more reliable. Not sure if you can get a really chattery noisy recirc one.

TDI dump valves are a pile of pants. £250 for a thing that goes PSSST when a switch is triggered. Ummm, no ta.

I agree with you, the dump valve for tdi makes no difference on the engine and brings no improvement at all. Its just one of these gizmos ! I prefer mine stealth...if you know what i mean ! I love the surprise on peoples faces when they see my rear TDI badge !

Adams - I posted recently asking about TDi dump valves - glad I listened to you and saved myself a packet! I've fitted an adjustable boost system, which i've adapted to a genuine VW heated seat switch so nobody can tell what it is, and the boost guage/driver's air vent from SWG motorsport - looks very trick!
Now that I've raised the boost on the car I get a lovely chatter from the wastegate... Better than a gay electric hissing thing!

My TDI makes a nice chattery noise from the turbo anyway. Delicious hybrid fitted. Bit smokey though sometimes.

I can't lower the injection quantity as thats done by the remapper. The turbocharger is a hybrid VT2 from Allard turbo sport. Unsure of its exact spec, but its being chopped in for a higher spec one soon. Hoping the fuel will all be burned up then.

At 1.8 bar, the car pushes max torque at 2800rpm (360lb/ft) and max BHP (221bhp) at 3800rpm. The power between 3000 and 4000rpm is awesome.
