Glad you found your answer. Although nobody from here gave it to you, it maybe that either no-one knew or more likely those that did either missed the post or have not been on.

Sometimes it is about getting the info and sharing it, which is what you have done in this case

    Hope you stick around.

I know too well what you mean about the forums. A great place to get info as well as chat. I have always managed to find what I need for my Passat here.

Hi there - just read your thread on biodiesel.

Not sure if it helps specifically, as I have a 1997 model Sharan (which I think is a mark 1?). But not wanting to 100% trust all the websites on biodiesel in general, I went to VW themselves, based in Milton Keynes. They said it was fine to run my Sharan (I gave them my chassis number to be extra sure) on 100% bio, as long as it had the EN mark.

I've run it on 100% for 6 months. Changed the fuel filter after two tanks. No conversion. Some of the fuel wasn't even EN stuff...just get to know and trust your supplier I guess. The EN is not necessarily the only type you can use. I've met a couple of people who make, clean and filter their own bio (legally) at 15p per litre.

I guess this is the next step. At the moment I only buy it at the pump for just over £1 a litre.

    Good luck!

That's a shame. Could be the more modern injectors. Loads of people that use Bio are happy to help...it's a growing community. Try this website, it doesnt specialise in VW AUDI like this one, but in Biodiesel:
