    Hi

I took my 2006 A4 2.0 TDi SE (I have only had it three weeks) to the dealer this week as I thought there was a fault with the clutch.

The issue I reported was :-

I get a vibration from the clutch pedal when touching it lightly or changing gear (not when it is released or fully depressed but in between) - the dealer has told me there is no fault with the clutch and this is a 'characteristic' of this type and age of car, and there is nothing they can do.

Has anyone else noticed this clutch 'characteristic' ? I personally find it annoying, and find it let's the car down - for those folk who also found it annoying ; did you get used to it ??

    Thx
    Alan

In relation to your brake pedal would you say your clutch pedal is the same hight or is it a bit higher ???

I have an A4 05 plate, and my clutch feels grindy not smooth, there is no judder as such, but it just does not feel smooth I just think the clutch on the Audi A4 is quite basic and does not have the quality of other models.

When I touch my cluth slightly I also get the feel of vibration, and every so often first gear is difficult to engage. Hope this helps
