    I have a Audi 80 se Advant 1994.
Rear fog light goes on and off on it's own, with and without engine running ????? (I have cleaned the switch contacts).

Not sure if its the same as the prob I had was with the saloon of the same year. Near the rear left tail light, behind the lining, was two multiplugs which fed the cables to the boot lid lights (your fog light in the boot lid I guess)... disconnecting this lets you see if you have the multicore cable breaking down internally from opening and closing the boot lid - near the hinge where it goes from the body to the boot lid). This was blowing the dash lights fuse and one of the side lights side (I think).... might be your problem too... and easy to check for. Shout if you need more info.
