Hi all, just got my Bora back from the body shop after a nice lady (in a corsa) decided she didn't like the front of my car a few weeks ago...
Anyway, the bonnet seems to be too high at the front and leaves a big gap between it and the grill.
So my question is... can you adjust the catch to lower the bonnet?
I have to drive a fair way to return it and wondered if there is a quick fix?

    Cheers
    Lee

Mine's the same.. It leaves a rather large gap in between the grill and the hood. I thought it was just the way it was... but now that you mention it THIS and the red paint i found under the green paint on my bumper is adding up to something suspicious...

Hmmm, yeah the bumper looks too shallow and they have had to twist it up to reduce the gap. This makes the edges splay-out.....
The bonnet can be lowered about 4>5 mm but not enough to correct the edges...now I've had chance to examine it on a sunny day it's not right
Gave the body shop a ring and they said to bring it in and they will do it while I wait.... I don't think so!

Well it went back and they had to completely replace the bumper!!!!

Talking with the repair guy's they told me that the insurance companies force them to use OEM parts @ half the cost.... the only thing is it takes them 3 times as long to fit them and then at least 40% of customers are not happy!!
They then are faced with replacing/spraying and fitting a 'pucka' part and claiming it all back off the insurance company....

As far as I'm concerned it's now absolutely bob on, tight panel tollerance and narrow gap at the bonnet
