    hi all,

i have a 2002 a4 tdi 130bhp. The air con is not working as the econ button on the climate control remains illuminated. On pressing the econ button the lights goes out but then reappears after 1 sec. I have recently had it regassed by a specialist and found the following code on vagcom: under air con climate control

    00819 - High Pressure Sensor (G65)
    30-00 - Open or Short to B+

    Anyone have any ideas.

    regards jason

Had the same problem on mine it was the high pressure switch easy diy job get the switch from audi and change it yourself. The switch is behind one of the headlights I think its the drivers. The switch is self sealing and screws into the air con rad.

I had the same and just changed it as 'spainy' just said. Make sure you get a new o ring as well because it does not come with the new sensor and you have to buy it seperately.

    Hi folks,

I've been having similar problems - econ light won't go out. The garage says the error code is:

0333 HIGH PRESSURE SENSOR SIGNAL TOO LOW - SIGNAL TOO LOW STATIC

This doesn't seem to be exactly the same message that others have had.

Does anyone know if this may mean that just a re-gas is needed or does it mean I need a new switch?

    ANy advice gratefully received!

    Thanks

    Nigel

    Hi Mate,

Exactly the same as mine. I changed the high pressure switch which cost about 30 pounds and presto, away she worked fine!!!

Hi kangtdi. Great news - thanks for replying so quickly.

Is it an easy enough job? It seems not too bad from what people say but I'm no mechanic! It was just in getting the cam belt and water pump changed and I asked them to read the fault codes. I told them I thought it was the switch and they could have just changed it while the front was off but they wouldn't touch the air con though because of health and safety...

hi please dont panic about this. it is an easy job, you wont have to take the front off, its by the side of the front radiator passenger side. you can do it yourself although i got my mechanic to do it. you will need two 17mm spanners. Good luck. you're aircon will work straight away. providing it has gas in it.

    kind regards
