Hi all, New to this forum. I'm having problems with the fuel gauge on my 1995 coupe 2L 16V, I suspect it could be a faulty fuel sender, but for the life of me I can't seem to find it on the car. I've removed most of the trim in the boot and the rear seat but still can't see it anyware. Could somebody please point me in the right direction.

    Thanx
    Pep

Hi, Remove the trim on the base of your boot and you will be faced with a black painted metal surface which at first sight looks like the top of the fuel tank. It's not, this is just a lid/cover protecting the tank. There aprox 6 screws securing the cover in position, once removed slide the cover towards the spare wheel and lift out to reveal the actual fuel tank with the sender/float unit directly on top.
    Regards
    Pep
