I sit ok to mix standard unleaded with super unleaded??

Hi everyone,

Probably a dumb essex girl question but....

Is it ok to chop and change between standard unleaded and the 'posh' super unleaded?

I had about 1/4tank of standard left and topped up with the posh stuff as thought it might give me more MPG... planned on sticking to using this from then on, however the other half then topped up the car again with standard unleaded. Is this ok to do???
I dont know what the difference is, just something to do with it burning at a different temperature right??

Also, is it ok to used different super unleaded's together... ie, can i mix, say BP ultimate 'super' unleaded, with the tesco stuff?????

Just that im confused by it all!!

The bottom line is i wanna get more mpg, but dont want to kill the car in doing so!!
