    Hi,

Back again for some more help - thanks in advance..!

Every time I start the Bora (2000 / V5) it beeps loudly and tells me to 'ADD COOLANT'.. I know the coolant level is fine as I have topped it up, and keeping a careful eye on the temp gauge reveils that all is ok.. To me this would seemingly be a simple reset issue.. How do I reset..?

A couple of steps forward.. I have at my disposal a laptop computer with an appropriate VAG_COM interface cable and VAG-COM 311.2-N installed and activated. I'm sure that my coms port etc are setup correctly as I can do an Auto-Scan which reveils nothing too untoward. There is one fault found which I will enquire about another time as its seems more involved that simply 'turning off' am 'ADD COOLANT' message.

So far am I moving in the right direction..? Can 'ADD COOLANT - (BEEEEP..!)' be cleared with what I've got, as above..?

Any help appreciated, tried to explaine as much as I can, hope someone can make sense of it all for me..

    Thanks,

    Woka

Also, have just noticed 'TOP UP WASH FLUID' is also showing on ignition, no doubt going to be as annoyng as 'ADD COOLANT' and hopefully simple to clear..!

I would check the header tank low level sensor if i were you, it's fitted underneath the tank with a plug and wires comming out of it. See if the connector is clean and fully plugged in. They are not available seperatelly and will require a new tank if faulty about 20 quid from local GSF/Euro Car Parts. Washer fluid warning should dissapear if you just top-up !

    Hi,

Thanks for the prompt reply.. So this 'fault' is not cleared via VAG-COM..? All pretty new to me..

Initially I thought that a top up would fix the issue, simple float attached to a switch, topped up, but no difference. Will resit the plug and advise.

    Thanks..

Meanwhile, any other input always appreciated.

    Woka.
