I completely forgot to check my oil for some time, and my service isnt due for another month or so. Anyway, it started to run extremely lumpy and noisy when its cold so I checked and found it was low on oil, quickly topped it up but its still running terribly. I have no problems at all with power and its not over/under heating at all but I have started to lose coolant. Is it possible the two things are connected?

Its not booked in til the end of next week with my local garage, but need to use it in the mean time. Im hoping its not going to be a huge bill, is there anything I can do in the meantime apart from keep it topped up?

Any ideas what the problem may be?

Sorry, forgot to mention, oil looks fine. Its topped up, maybe a little too much and is not creamy at all. It does seem to be a little moist around the engine cover near the filler cap though.

Smokes when its cold for a couple of mins, but as soon as its warm then its fine.
