Hi. My loved Golf GT TDi has started going into "Limp-mode" when you put your foot down in 4th/5th. Limp mode is the ECU stopping the power. It resets when you restart the engine. I have been told it can be a number of about 8 faults. Any ideas to which faults or the most common. Thanks.

Most common causes are a faulty MAF, sticking turbo vanes, sticking turbo actuator arm or a boost leak. Get the cars computer scanned for fault codes, this should help narrow it down a bit for you.

There's also loads of other threads on this site where people are having the same problem. Do a search for words like limp mode, charge pressure positive deviation or boost leak.

And welcome to the forum by the way
