s3 alloys on an A3??

hi guys, I want to get some 17'' S3 alloys for my 2001 A3. you know the kind... 6 spoke with like little 'diverts' out of the top of the spokes where it hits the rim, (im led to believe there standered on S3's??)

Anyway i want to fit them on my A3 but are not aure if they will fit. how do i find out offset, rim width etc on both my car and these alloys, unless anyone can tell me that they defenatley do fit.

Also is anyone local to leeds actually selling a set? (never ask you wont get haha)

got outbid on a set at xmas at £225, but they needed 2 tyres.

i overspent over xmas, so goodjob i didnt win them !!!!!!!!!

i wish u had posted this before i sold mine, i had 4 with pirelli beauts, i let them go for 200, im upset now!
i upgraded to 18" rs4s for my s3 n they only cost 550 with tyres upgraded to falcons, i recommened u bite the bullet n spend, the difference is massive and it still feels amazin, i now have 225/40/18 n the ride is far from bumpy..
i saw some on e bay a while ago that were pristine for 400, pick up only.
let me kno wat u choose mate

S4 Avus will fit on the A4 and A6

i didn't realise there was a difference between the 2, i was always told s3/s4 were same rims

both are 7.5j x 17

the key thing is that the pcd on the s3 are 5x100 and the s4 5x112

i've a set of 4 spare.... they're on pirelli tyres [just legal] & the wheels are mint bar a small corrosion near 1 tyre valve...

where abouts are you based mucka? & how much do you wanna spend?

so for the fourth seperate bid I needed to up the game.

I eventually won and paid £300 for them... they have brand new Pirelli P6000 on the first two and Goodyear F1 on the other two...

saved a packet bidding for these
