Looks great, health to drive! I'm glad I picked the same colour, and can hardly wait the next couple of weeks. I'd felt a bit limited not having much of a choice in the 18" wheels, compared to other markets, but I'm reassured seeing the Chicagos on yours.

Thanks - the 18" wheels look great so don't worry about that!

The scooby belongs to one of my good friends his mad scooby is a relic from days gone by!

I bought an Evo6 he bought that and kept it! My evo is long gone now and I have a Mini Coopers S JCW GP for fun these days!

The spec changes on his scooby on almost a daily basis!

Its an STI V5 with a 2.5 block, Front mounted intercooler, Apexi power FC ECU and commander etc...

    My old evo

My MINI GP - the only mods on my MINI are carbon fibre door mirrors and boot lid handle!

    Looks terrific - enjoy!

One question though: how did you manage to order a winter pack when you had leather too? I tried and was told it created a conflict (because both included heated seats) so the order could not be accepted. I even wrote to VW UK who confirmed the same thing.

i was extremely annoyed because I wanted heated washer jets; I wrote back to VW UK and they rang me (yes!) and explained they were sorry but I simply could not have heated washer jets by ordering the winter pack as this could not be supplied as well as leather! It even says so on the bottom of the price-list.

So how did you do it?

    I ticked this box...

Multipack 2 - Choose all 3 of the options and receive a £400 reduction from the combined recommended retail price: -Gas discharge (Bi-Xenon) dipped and main beam headlights - Luxury pack - Winter pack £935

You can order the winter pack in conjunction with leather you just can't order leather then heated seats on their own! - your ******** stupid - as is the nob at VW that you had spoken to - Its a pain that we the buyers have to suffer because of the terrible wording and lack of communication between VW and VW UK Ltd

"Leather upholstery and heated front seats cannot be specified in conjunction with each other. Some parts of leather seats will contain artificial leather"

Tell your ******* that this does not say or mean leather and winter!

Amazing! I even wrote to VW in Germany about this and they gave me a name to write to in the UK who could sort it out (I ordered my Eos back in February 2006 when the very first orders were being accepted). I told them repeatedly that I really didn't believe they could be so stupid as not to offer the combination of winter pack and Leather (which they DO in Germany hence clearly the factory could cope with it) but they instisted that the marketing dept had decided it could not be done. I even told the dealer to ignore it and still make the order but it was rejected on the basis that the conflict would cause the computer simply to ignore the order and the car would not get built!

Must say the reality makes far more sense than the **** and bull stories they gave me. Found it hard to believe that VW could be quite so stupid as not to allow any extra at all to be ordered when they had gone to the trouble of engineering them all..

I just gave up in the end as I was at my wit's end trying to get them to admit they were wrong and accept an order for the winter pack as well as leather...
