    Default Rear Window Rattle – 19-05-2008,10:43 PM
    Hi guys, I've got a 2000 A4 2.5TDI and the last couple of weeks its been developing a very nasty rattle from the rear.

    After a lot of investigation, stripping the boot out etc, it seems that the bottom edge of the rear window glass is loose and bounces up and down when driving over bumps.

    has anyone ever heard of this before? what could be causing it?


    there isnt a seal on the bottom edge of the window, is that normal. it just seems to sit on some rubber 'stoppers'

    wow blast from the past.

    I had to have the window removed and re-glued to fix the problem.

    haha its the only thread i could find on the problem! :P
    i've siliconed mine at the bottom and the rattles have stopped.. for now! if it happens again then i will get some proper glue
