Hi, I have on my X reg GTi Turbo these 16" wheels

does anyone know if they were a cost option or standard at all, as I haven't seen them on any other GTi or any other golf for that matter!

They were an optional extra. There are probably not many around as people like having bigger wheels and as with split rims the seals can leak so people may have got rid for that reason. Saying that, there are a few available on ebay.

ah right thanks. need to get them refurbed as they are blistering around the bolts.

They were available on the mk3 golf gti anniversary edition golf and an extra on some mk4's. They corrode and blister big time if there not looked after well but are really nice wheels when there in mint condition.
