    Hereketty, are you being mischievous?

At the end of the road in the search for cheap power there is only one result, disappointment and an empty wallet.

It depends how you class 'cheap'. The best way would probably be to fit a K&N induction kit but, that can be quite expensive. My mate had one on his old Golf GTI (he now has an A3 Sportback) and he said it made a big difference.

With it being diesel i wouldn't bother, save your pennies for a remap. Either that or get a set of performance tyres, will improve your 0-60 times not exactly cheap I know but much better than any off your ebay rubbish

Yeah. Was looking for a 'lazy sunday afternoon', quick job kinda power. Hahaha. But then again a remap does sound appealing. What would my insurance company say about that ?? Can a quickshift kit be gotten for this model?? After previously having so many petrol cars in the past, it seems like the big lazy derv just slugs into gear and then take a second or two for the power to reconnect after lifting the clutch. Really horrible when you have a little starlet turbo buzzing along-side you.

B&M make a short shift but it doesn’t feel nice to use.
