    WHERE IS THE DIAGNOSTIC SOCKET LOCATED ON A VW SHARAN 2001
    ANY HELP APPRECIATED. REGARDS DIXIE

    On the MK1 its under the ashtray in the centre console.

    On the MK2 Sharan Galaxy and Alhambra it is located underneath the bottom of the dashboard, in line with the fuse box access panel on the driver's side of the car. Stick your head under the dashboard and you will see the pink connector.

    {VW Sharan (7M)} At the Sharan (7M) there are 2 different locations depending on the model year.

    Pre model year 2001 the ashtray has to be removed to gain access the diagnostic connector.
    Since model year 2001 the DLC is located below the steering wheel behind a cover, above the pedals.
