Push the open button once and it only opens the drivers door. Push the open button twice quickly (like a double click on a mouse) and it opens all the doors and the boot, its a safety feature.

The button on the drivers door column is to turn off the interior alarm sensor.

    Hope that helps.

The boot lock often 'sticks' and only opens after several clicks of the remote.
The door locks may be doing the same.

I see much better response after greasing them well.

It is done in the soft coding of the convenience unit using a registered version of VAG-COM or similar.

It stopped working when the battery went extremely flat and i tried starting it. It was fine before that.(Listening to the radio while washing the car.)
