Starting issue woes

Hi,

Wonder if anyone can give me a clue on this. Car is a 1994 audi coupe 2.0 16v... Car does not start properly. Had new battery+ plugs fitted and it is still the same. The starter sounds ok to me, just does not start as it should. Sometimes you need to turn it for 5-10 seconds before it fires. Seems worse if left a few days. Hardish to start even if left overnight. Once started after being left overnight and ran for say 15 seconds then switched off ...and tried in say 2 minutes again it will start normally. When eventually started from cold it only idles at what it does when it is warmed up .. say 1000ish revs... not sure if it should or not. Any ideas appreciated ..

Hey... I had a smilar problem like this with my 2.6E. Probably got something to do with your fuel. Fuel lines can get sticky. Try running some sort of additive though the petrol to clean it out. I ran some ingetor clearner though mine and that got rid of the problem. Also you might want to check your fuel pump.
