I an trying to carry a TBA after the battery was disconnected and have cleared all the DTC down after running Vagcom.
The problem I have is after selecting engine 01 and then Measuring blocks 08 and then trying group 060 I get an "ERROR Not available", thats as far as I can go with the TBA.

Currently the car appears fine with the exception that the throttle does not respond instantly when accelarating through the gears.

Anybody got an ideas I can ckeck out.

Thanks for your help Smokey, thats one thing less to worry about, so how does the accelarator work with diesels as I cannot find a cable any where, unless I have completely blind?

There is a potentiometer at the top of the pedal that tells the ECU the pedal position and the ECU controls the diesel pump and how much diesel is injected (its a bit more complex than this but this is basically how it works).
It may be worth checking the readings (throttle position) from it while moving the pedal slowly in measuring blocks to make sure it reads smoothly. What fault codes were stored?

Thats the strange thing, no fault codes were stored, but ther is this definite lag when I take my foot of the accelerator and the engine revs dropping, about quarter of a second.
