    Hi,

I have a 1994 80E 2.6 and need to replace the front discs. There are no retaining screws and they appear to fit over the hub. Are they a press fit? Do I need to remove the hub?
I'd be grateful for any advice as Haynes don't list a manual for this car.

    Many thanks.

Just need to remove the brake calipers... if I remember right, there are two bolts that hold the calliper assembly on... and two bolts that are part of the slider mechanism of the single sided piston caliper. Best to remove the whole mechanism rather than by loosening the slider bolts.

Exactly; the whole assembly had to come off... eventually. Ended up having to tack a 17mm socket to one of the bolt heads as, predictably, the last one wouldn't move and rounded off. Still, job done now. Can't complain, it's done 196K miles - doesn't owe me anything. Thanks for your input.
