2003 A6 1.9Tdi Air Con Problem

Hi,

Could anyone help me please, as my air conditioning has never been cold since I got the car i went to get it re-gassed, the garage said that it was full of gas and it must be another problem, what happens is when I set the temperature to Lo it blows out warm air, I have looked under the bonnet and the air con fan does not come on either, I want to get this sorted as I want to sell the car soon. Can anyone help?

Is the compressor drive belt ok ?

My air con has just packed up, turns out the the tensioner had shattered causing the belt to break up against the side of the compressor. Getting it fixed tomorrow, needless to say the car hasn't had a lot of use in the past week or so....

Hi,

The belts are fine had them done and the tensioner a few months back, someone just told me to check the fan control unit as it sends the signal to the compressor to switch it on and off, anyone tell where this is please?
