    Hi All

My apologies if this has been already discussed in another thread. I noticed yesterday that my boot doesn't lock with the central locking, not even a sound that it's attempting to lock. For some reason I'm also unable to insert the key and lock it manually (key will only go about half way in to the barrel)

I have never used they key in the boot lock before so am unsure if the problem is connected to that of the central locking. I fell at the first hurdle and was unable to remove the trim from the inside of the boot lid to gain access to the lock, nor could see anyway that it was secured in there. Is it just a matter of pulling it with a little force as it's clipped in? Has anyone experienced any similar problems with the lock?

    Kindest reagrds
    James

I've just read another thread, would appear exactly the same question as I posed even regards to removing the trim! I'll give it another try and repost if I have any further problems, cheers

OK, have managed to remove the trim and have a proper look. The fact that the key won't go in to the barrel appears to be different problem to that of it not locking on the fob.
The actuator that controls the bar disabling the handle doesn't appear to work. I've taken a voltage reading and am getting about 2.0v dc being fed to the actuator when pressing the fob to open but nothing when pressing it to close. Even if i manually move the bar so that it it's locked and press the fob to open there is still nothing happening. I'm unsure now if it's a problem with the actuator itself or the current being sent to the unit. Shouldn't I be able to pick up a voltage either way, closing and opening?
Just wondering if anyone could shed any light on this or any ideas?
    Many thanks
