I thought I'd fixed the issue with the luggage compartment alert after the washer repair but it seems that the fix and WD40 hasn't managed to sort it out completely. I'm getting issues with the alarm going off in the middle of the night now and then and am looking for a quick fix to give my neighbours a break. Is there a fuse I can pull to stop the alarm going off until I book the car in to get the boot lock looked at? Pressing the lock button twice on the fob doesn't seem to be doing the job Cheers!

Fingers crossed... I RTFM'd and noticed I'd left my dangly air freshener hanging froma handle right next to one of the sensors... oops, so it may actually be that!

Will see how it goes tonight, then I'll try disabling internal sensors.

i've got the same trouble. As you look at the fuse board its the 3rd one across, 3rd one down. 10 amp. you lose the electric windows and all interior lights but at least the alarm doesn't go off!

Well the alarm didn't go off last night, so fingers crossed it was just air coming through the vents disturbing the offending air freshener...

Cheers for the info BVF - annoying how VW use heiroglyphics to label the fuse panel diagram
