Multitronic oil change

Hi guys,

I wonder if anyone can tell me the best price they have had to change the oil in multitronic gearbox on 2.0 TDI.

The best price I have had is about £130. I dont want to appear too tight but we have only just purchased the car and have just had service costing £250 and the wife is not happy at the prospect of more expense already lol.

Any ideas where I can get this done any cheaper?

I am in the northamptonshire area.

Being as the fluid is £12.34 a litre, you need at most seven litres and the job takes at least an hour, if anyone quoted less I would be worried why In fact what you have been quoted is too cheap, perhaps they are not using genuine VAG fluid.

ok, the quote was from a independant that people speak very highly of on here. They are multi-tronic specialists apparently.

Is there a recommended time / mileage for changing the multitronic oil ?

it says every 40k in service book. mine is 5 overdue for my second change

Recently had my multitronic fluid changed during my 40k service, I haggled with my local Audi dealer as originally they wanted £500 for the service including the multitronic oil change, I got a quote from Stafford Audi who said they'd do the lot for £395 and in the end surprisingly my local Audi dealer beat this and did the lot for £382. I tpays to shop around and challenge the dealers.

That's the seond service from an audi dealer where I've shopped around and on each occassion I've saved around £120, so don't be shy!
