Can anyone recommend a good tyre review site?

Or better still recommend a set of tyres for my Gt Tdi. I've got continental contacts at the mo which while the rate of wear is great the grip sucks (esp in wet). I'd like a tyre which has a good mix of performance and durability, any suggestions?

    (225/45 17" Y)

    Cheers,

    Rich.

My TDI 170 came with Michelin Pilot Primacy 225/45 R17s fitted. They grip pretty well in the wet, in fact very well. No idea about how they wear yet.

Know what you mean about Contis, they wear well but the grip is not outstanding.

I've had both Pirelli P-Zero Rossos and Dunlop Sport SP1-Maxx's.

Would say that the Dumlops were better in both the grip and wear stakes!! The Pirellis only lasted 10K!! Dunlops lasted about 15k.

The Pirellis on the rear were fine though, had done 32K and stil had about 4mm left on them

    Hi
I'm interested in this topic as I too will need tyre changes soon.
Am I correct that my 2.0 tdi gt ('05) can run 225's? It currently has 205's
If so - would there be any advantage??
Many thanks in advance if you know

I was recomended these and found them to be the best tyres I've ever had on a car. Even in the wet the give so much grip.
