2003 vw panel van diesel starting issues

hello my van cuts out instantly for no reason
if you switch the ignation off and back on immedialy it starts and runs fine. it could go for days with no problems, then it could happen 3 or 4 times in a day , i have noticed it mostly happend while climbing even a very small incline


any ideas ? thanks

check your immobiliser is not doing this as if the chip in your key is not connecting with the unit in the van it would cut out for no reason

how would i go about checking it ?

can it be disabled or bypassed so that the van can run normally

do you have any idea where the unit is located ?
