    Hello to you all,

I am very confused as all 4 electric windows on my 2004 A4 Avant 2.5Tdi quattro just opened, it was only when my neighbour noticed when parking his car or they would have been open all night, haven't driven the car today but did get something from it first thing this morning when all windows were closed.

The doors were still locked and the alarm hadn't gone off. The car is new to me and I am not sure if I have somehow triggered this. Please help me out of my confusion!

    Chris

I'm one of the poor people without the remote fobs, but my wife is always winding all the windows down by turning the key the wrong way and holding when she means to lock the door.

There's an "Auto open" for all the windows on the central locking function.

Problem is, if you turn the key anti-clockwise and release the windows won't auto-up, but if you turn anti-clockwise and hold, then the windows all auto-shut.

Same functions (I understand) are on the key fob remote.
