betrayed I never once said there was anything wrong with the engines. My engine is 100% perfect, fully checked over by a few people who have confirmed that the engine in mine is excellent and a good example as its never been messed with in anyway eg remaps etc.

The engines themselves are great however everything that keeps that engine working in harmony is not so good. And by everything I mean the sensors and anything else in between. Sensors themselves arnt too dear (about 30 quid for a temperature one) but its the 30s here and the 20s there that soon all add up.

Oh and been told by the same people who said my engine was 100% tip top that the diesels are rather prone to ECU failure so watch out for that.

Oh and betrayed, you might think that the sun shines outta your cars exhaust but believe me, you have no idea what awaits you.

you said that "I would advise to steer clear of the diesels"

I have decided to sell it and get myself something without a VW badge

    ***

    your words not mine.

    MATE....

Anyway i didnt say the sun shined from my exhaust!

just your posts sounds like your trying to say vw diesels not so good! when i have had no problems with mine and if you think 20-30 pound if much to pull out for parts you must be tight as a fishes ****!

CARS WEAR AND TEAR WILL NEED NEW PARTS NO MATTER WHAT KIND OF CAR IT IS!

Dont try to tell your granny how to suck eggs.

My GOLF GT TDI is my 10th car now and the best by far!

I Would Highly Recommend A Gt Tdi 130. Picked Up One With 88k On The Clock And Very Happy With It. Looks Well And Drives Like New . You Will Be Well Impressed With The Performance Of The Engine Compared To A 1.6 Petrol And It Also Manages To Be Very Economical Anything Between 48 Mpg For Town Driving To 65mpg For Long Journeys On Open Roads. I Think They Are One Of The Most Popular Mark 4 Golfs. If Going For A Petrol Though It Has To Be The 1.8t . Never Driven One But Here They Are Very Good. A Anniversary Edition One Would Be Even Better, They Look Class

Yes I did say that I would never again buy another car with a VW badge and it def would not be a diesel. The parts are just too dear.

I didnt say 20-30 quid was dear for parts. I said that it all adds up because they usually start failing all around the same time. Im not tight, I just dont see the point in putting the money into little crap sensors that just dont last on a VW when theres other cars out there that will get you from A to B without needing all these things. I could honestly think of better things to spend my money on than an aule car.

When did I tell my granny how to suck eggs? Stop talking crap. The guy wanted peoples opinions and I gave him mine. Or can people not voice their opinions without people going mental??? He doesn't need you replying to it debating my comments. Its his choice about what he wants to buy and all I was saying was my experience and my friends experience with the VW golf diesels and its not all rosey as people like you would have believe.

    Kris.
