Hi, I need to remove the rubbing strip (N/S/F door) from my Golf GL as the paint has decided to start peeling and I want to get it re-painted. Does anyone know how to remove it?? I don't want to start bending and breaking things like a ham fisted pillock!!!!
Help would be very much appreciated
    Cheers, Si

    Hi

On our Mk3 CL this seems to just be held on with about four "pegs" which locate into holes in the door and it can just just be pulled off/on.

I've just had to fix ours back on on the drivers side as one of the end pegs seems knackered/worn and it wasn't holding the strip to the door anymore.

One splodge of UHU later and she seems to be fine again. :-)
