    Default Creak creak creak... – 06-05-2008,01:44 PM
    Right then, my 2001 s3 is persistant in making a creaking and knock noise from the n/s, have changed the arb bushes, the arb drop links, bottom ball joints, lower arm 'rear' bushes and top shock mounts...and now at my wits end...

    it used to 'knock' upon acceleration and braking until i had the clutch changed, but now it only does it over drains etc...the creaking is mostly when pulling off and braking, i'm wondering cv joint??? what else could it possibly be??

    PLEASE HELP before i burn it!!!

    mate i had the same problem changed everything like yourself turns out it was drive and what a nightmare i had with them to cut a long story short there main dealer only hope this helps
