In the boot, on the right hand side there is a lockable compartment behind which is the rear light cluster. There is also a connector block taped off. What is that for? Is it a 12v DC feed?

Also, my mate has a 53 plate mk4 and it has a cubby hole cover for the car jack on the left. My 02 plate one does not. Should mine have one?

My 52 plate gt tdi has the cubby hole on the left, nothing in it, but the symbols on the outside of it indicate there should be a first aid kit and warning triangle in it.

Mine has one on the right too, do you have a 12v plug hole(like ciggy lighter) in that same area? if not maybe that is what your loose cable is for?

iv 1 on the left and right - im in a 2001 - and the 12v lighter adapto with flap covering on the right though the left( bit bigger) got a medic symbol so i presumed it was where i should be finding a fist aid kit?
seen some of those made to measure sub enclosures to fit those but im planning a custom boot build so would rather have the medi kit tbh and of course for safetys sake !
anyone got 1? know where i can get 1?
