    Hi all,

I'm a bit new to all this, have tried searching with no success so any assistace would be appreciated.
We've just bought a fully loaded W8 estate with tip-tronic, the dealer had no idea about the MFD and the instructions weren't in the car. There is a disc in the head unit that works the sat-nav but it's 2003 and quite a bit out of date.
Does anyone know where I can get a more up to date one, what would I ask for and can it be downloaded ?, also a pdf download of the users manual. Learnt quite a bit so far, even stumbled across the TV and ceefax thing, but there must be more that it does that I haven't found yet.
Really happy with the car, 52 plate estate with every toy and BBS split rims, shed-loads of power. Going to keep this one for a long time.

not quite used to trying to drive it sensibly yet, the roar is amazing and the acceleration as good as it gets for an estate car of that age. Don't ask about the economy, need to drive it sensibly somewhen to find out !!

Hi go to http://vwnavi.com/forums/ and you will be able to download a manual in pdf format and find out anything you wish to know about the MFD Navi unit.
The disk is available on Ebay, but beware of copies.
The Navi unit is particular about the Disk and most copies will not work consistantly.
Teleatlas is the disk manufacturer, and it is also branded as Blaupunkt . see this :-http://navigation.teleatlas.com/en/shop/hotitem/united-kingdom-ireland-2007-2008-blaupunkt-travelpilot-dx-pr6244.html
    Good luck Regards Richard

    Thanks.

the manual is a great help, plenty of unanswered questions now a bit clearer, if anyone has a manual for the TV that would be great as it's not included in the sat-nav manual.

    thanks again for your help

    Gary
