This is probably the wrong forum to ask on, but its the only one i'm registered to.

Has anyone drove a 307, particularly the rapier ones. I've heard that they can be unreliable.

The parentals have had a 306 for ages and its never had any major problems.

I'm only asking as my beloved mk3 golf may not pass MOT and i don't have the money to get it properly fixed. Would be cheaper for me to buy a newer car that doesnt break down.

Was thinking of a Leon too, but can't seem to find a diesel one, did they make any or am i just being stupid

I have a 307 1.6 HDi (110) as a company car. Done 56k in 3 years and mechanically been fine, and 52mpg average!

Trim through is rubbish. Broken clips both inside and out. Door handle came off in my hand - although dealer didn't bat an eye and fixed it under warrenty.

Overall ok, but wouldn't rush out to buy a new one.

My previous car was a 306, I loved it and it was great fun to drive but I had a fair few problems with it. I wouldn't own another Peugeot, particularly with the way they score in the JD 100 survey.
