Easy jobs as long as you have the tools but there are about 3 different CV boots kits so make sure you take diameter of CV boot to shop for kit About £9 from German Swedish.Have lok at the Hyanes manual if in doubt...

I recently had both those faults when I had mine mot'd. The only problem with the upper joint is the front bolt that holds both arms seizes so if you can soak some wd40 or similar into before you start that will probably help and the rear bolt for the arm required me to drop the strut as there wasn't enough clearance to get the bolt out as it was tight to the wheel arch.

The CV boot was easy enough, as said in a previous post, there are a few different sizes. My CV joint once released from the hub just needed a firm tap to release it from the driveshaft ( making sure to hold the driveshaft to stop it from poping out the other end) I know on some models they are held on to the driveshaft with a circlip so after cleaning the grease from the joint you may have to establish which type your is.
