radio help

hi , i have a 97 passat tdi radio is in safe mode, i have code but how do you enter it as buttons are doing nothing.
been to dealer who says leave ignition on for 1 hour which i have tryed but still in safe mode, getting fed up now any ideas . thanks mark

still no radio , i have read all threads on here not helped any one else help me be -fore i pull it out and smash it to bits

press the ta and tp buttons together,this should cause the display to change to 1000 enter the code and press ta and tp together again


if safe2 is displayed,the only way to reset is to wait with the ignition on for up to 3 hours,then try as above.
