On my 2001 2.0SE Auto, the Engine Management Fault Warning light has been coming on recently. Have taken it to Audi three times now, and each time they say the 'Long Term Fuel Mixture' is out of spec. On each occassion thay have investigated but say they cannot trace the fault. The fault code (actual code number not stated) was re-set and off I go. On all occassions, the light has come on at tick-over engine speeds, when the engine is hot.
To their credit, they have not charged me anything at all for this, but the problem still persists.
On changing a split vacuum hose recently I had to remove the fuel injectors and noticed that one of the O-Rings was very slightly damaged. Will this cause an air leak that could upset the fuel mixture.
Can anyone advise please.
