    Hi everyone

Just got a 1996 vr5 highline today and it has a scorpion 1218t2 alarm fitted when i got it the guy said it doesnt have total closure fitted but i know these alarms and they do have total closure but I said not to worry it aint a biggy problem so I had the windows down and as you do I thought I give a try and see so i armed the alarm and what do you know the windows started to move ?? problem is they go half way up and then stop ? when i disarm the alarm they go back down again

So I tried moving the windows to half way up and hen arming the alarm and the windows only move up about an inch ?? when i disarm they wind all the way down

it has got me totaly kbaffled so i was hoping one of you crazy cats could shed some light on this for me

I had a similar problem with an R reg convertible - in fact I still have! The original alarm went belly up so I ripped it all out and fitted a cheap lazerline with microwave. Now it should support total closure - the original unit did but now even with the programming set for a 10 second lock relay through it doesn't operate the windows - I managed it by swapping the wiring around but then it opened the windows on every unlock too - the central locking wires are connected in the boot actually on the vacuum pump which isn't what other info I have found refers too - they all say it has to be done in the drivers door - but it was working with that wiring config before.

So if anyone has any advice on this one I would be grateful
