Is it just me, or have there been many problems with the GTFSI 2.0 model, brand new car? Ive had:
3 new coolant systems (warranty, thank god, but took 6 visits to garage to sort)
4 cracked, unsafe dealer fitted Continental tyres: 2 blew out, (thank god on a B road): the others were just out of mileage warranty. Anyone else had problems with these? Cost £500 to replace. (Incidentally, they are fitted on the Vauxhall Zafira, and split between the treads, just as they did on my VW)
    Boot lid opener peeling (warranty).
Ignition barrel: plastic gate broke under warranty: garage ordered wrong part, went in to get replaced, told wrong one ordered, sorry, etc, etc, my father then died, unfortunately, outside warranty, so they refused to replace ignition barrel, despite their mistake, and the fact it failed under warranty.
28,000 miles: EGR valve replacement: £288 (plus a bit of vandalism: half of Run DMC and Beastie Boys are dead: the others are in Telford, looking for updated "necklaces")
Another pair of Front Tyres: £125: after 28,000 miles.

So, is it just me? Should I buy a new GTi? Or a toyota Yaris (AAARRRRGGGGGGGHHHH)

    Monty

WOW that's alot of problems you've had for a 4+ year old car, yeah just go for the GTI or the Toyota Yaris.

Time to get rid, as the problems just keeps coming one after another.

Maybe, I should've gone for the Toyota Auris SR180 instead of VW now.
