I use it in what I assume is the same engine, but anything over around a 50% mix starts to cause a imbalance vibration at idle. Below <8deg C, I don't use it. The trouble is, like everything else except for large TVs, the price has doubled in the last couple of years.

Do not run a v6 tdi on veggie oil, it will cause problems/damage the fuel pump shaft...older inline 5 2.5 tdi run fine on vegetable oil as they have a early vp 37 pump. V6 Tdi have a vp 44 pump.

modern high pressure deisels don't like veg oil. Irrispective as to wether you thin it with white spirit. lack of lubrication to the pump kills it, and that's pricey.

Older low pressure systems can be fine as long as you warm the oil, so it does not strain the pump

No good saving £40 on a fill up to do £1000 in damage!

If you into veg oil, buy a proper converter and turn it into bio diesel. Naturally tell the tax office about how you want to pay them the 40p a litre your saving, and drive into the sunset to the smells of your local chippy
